Ralph Lauren
Finding the film in the footage.

Client: Ralph Lauren - Ralph’s Coffee Zurich
Role: Master Edit + Grade
Partners: Panos Photography
Turnaround: 3 days

A fast-turnaround edit for Ralph’s Coffee Zurich, built from a large volume of supplied footage.

Three days from material review through edit and final grade, with AI-assisted shot work, a late music change and several departments involved in getting the final piece delivered.

The edit

The job started with a large amount of footage and a short turnaround.

I reviewed the material, selected the strongest footage and built the structure and pacing of the film.

The challenge was less about adding more and more to it, and more about finding the right film inside the material that was already there.

AI in the workflow

AI was used selectively on several shots as part of the production process.

It was another tool inside the edit and finishing workflow rather than the look of the film itself.

The aim was always for the finished piece to feel like Ralph Lauren, not like an AI demo.

Then the music changed.

Late in the process, the client changed the music.

That meant revisiting parts of the edit quickly rather than simply dropping a new track underneath an existing cut. The replacement track was itself AI-generated, prompted and adjusted quickly to fit the film’s timing under the same deadline.

Timing, pacing and shot choices had to work with the new track while the delivery window stayed the same.

Getting it over the line

The final stages involved working across several departments to keep the changing edit, assets and delivery aligned.

Once the structure was locked, I handled the grade so footage from different sources felt coherent as one finished piece.

The final film was delivered within three days.
