Role: Lead 3D Artist / Look-dev & Final Render
Client / Partner: Golin London · Knorr
Brief
Create a single all-CGI hero that reads instantly as Mr. Potato Head, now costumed as a sweet potato, and package outputs for multi-channel use (digital PR, social, in-store/OOH) while remaining brand-true.
What I did
Character build & look-dev: sculpted sweet-potato form and surface (eyelets, dimples, root fibers), authored plastics for facial features/limbs, and designed the sweet-potato outfit with readable material contrast (matte skin vs. satin/fabric details).
Lighting & composition: studio/HDR lighting for playful speculars.
Finishing & delivery: Octane multi-pass (AOVs) for flexible grade/retouch; master EXR/TIFF plus web exports; clean plates for type/lockup overlays; tidy naming for fast PR turnaround.
Technical highlights
Cinema 4D (assembly, posing, camera staging) • Octane (spectral materials, layered shaders, AOVs) • Procedural bumps/displacement for sweet-potato skin • Color-managed pipeline for print & digital.
Outcome
A witty, brand-ready hero image that supports the Eat For Good narrative across PR and retail touchpoints, with enough variants to drop into any format without recomposition.
