Role: Lead 3D Artist / Look-dev & Final Render
Client / Partner: Golin London · McDonald’s × Crocs

Brief
Create a fully CGI hero visual, faithful to McDonaldland, that scales from social to in-store display without quality loss; match the creative intent from Golin’s mockup and deliver print-ready masters.

What I did

  • World build & research: gathered references of McDonaldland creatures/props; translated nostalgia cues into a modern, high-fidelity scene.

  • Model/look-dev: modeled/kit-bashed environment and hero elements; authored materials with physically-based accuracy (plastics, foam/rubber, fabrics, painted surfaces).

  • Lighting/composition: crafted a hero comp per the mockup, then produced alternates for different placements.

  • Rendering & finishing: Octane multi-pass setup for flexible grade; finaled web + print masters with brand-true color.

Key responsibilities

  • Scene assembly, materials, and shot design (C4D/Octane).

  • Color management for cross-media usage (linear → display/print transforms).

  • Deliverables planning: safe-areas, negative-space for type/logos, and variant crops.

Technical highlights

  • Cinema 4D: layout, modeling, cameras.

  • Octane Render: spectral materials, area/HDR lighting, AOVs for retouch.

  • Print pipeline: high-res EXR/TIFF masters, bleed/safe-margins, and CMYK-friendly grading notes.

Outcome
A sharp, on-brand hero render that reads instantly online and holds up at in-store scale, delivered as layered, re-composable assets so Golin could adapt layouts across channels.
